Ultraviolet germicidal irradiation is a disinfection method that uses short-wavelength ultraviolet (UV-C) light to kill or inactivate microorganisms by destroying nucleic acids and disrupting their DNA, leaving them unable to perform vital cellular functions.
It is recommended that liquid sterilization is performed before placing instruments in the sterilization unit.
This is our basic model which has a On/Off switch and does not include a timer.
Instruments should be placed for a time period of 10 minutes to 24 hours.
